The farming season is in full swing and Lethbridge County is reminding producers of the importance of proper irrigation practices.

According to the County, there have been several instances this season of irrigators allowing end guns to spray water onto roads and into ditches.

The County says it’s a dangerous and costly practice which poses safety concerns for citizens and damages County infrastructure.

So far this season there have been six cases where the County has had to repair a road due to damage from excess water from irrigation end guns.
